Update to report: car purchased from dealership back in February 2016 broke down on me. It will cost more to fix than what the car is worth. I'm so heartbroken and disappointed. The car was purchased back in February of this year (2016) -- it lasted a few months.
I found a car that met all my needs. The suv had just been added to the lot and not had a price posted yet. I knew I had to act quickly even though the vehicle had many miles on it (16k+ in 7 months). The vehicle was immaculate and still had the new car smell. Would like to see higher end options (Leather Seats, collision avoidance, cruise control distance, etc) without the skylight and hybrid. I'm 6'5" and can't fit in the seat without my head rubbing the roof of the skylight, and my golf clubs don't fit the hybrid.
I found the used Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude model I was looking for at Dicks Mackenzie Ford. I have purchased many used vehicles at several dealerships but none at Dicks. I took my Explorer in for a minor service need. I received excellent service, EXCEPT when I got ready to leave and get in my car, someone moved my driver's seat all the way forward (I drive with it all the way back). On July 15th we drove a one year old vehicle that was located at the Dodge lot and returned to the Ford lot to complete the sale paperwork. We found that purchasing our new F-150 was an unusually pleasant experience. Our sales rep (Kevin Olds) was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and did not apply any pressure to buy.
